Hydrotherapy

To request a Hydrotherapy appointment with ME Physio call us on (03) 9571 6888 or click the book now button.

At ME Physio, we offer hydrotherapy and aquatic physiotherapy at the purpose built hydrotherapy pool at Harold Holt Swim Centre.

Hydrotherapy utilises the benefits of buoyancy and the warmth of water to reduce pain and stiffness whilst you exercise. Reducing the amount of weight going through the body allows you to do exercises that you may otherwise not be able to do on land due to pain, stiffness or weakness. This allows our physiotherapists at ME Physio to fast-track your rehabilitation in the early stages or early on following surgery.

Hydrotherapy with ME Physio commonly benefits the following conditions:

  • Post surgery for joint replacement or joint arthroscopy.
  • Pre-operative care prior to surgery to reduce pain and swelling and maintain strength.
  • Chronic and long standing pain.
  • Osteoarthritic or other arthritic conditions.

To get started with hydrotherapy, our team will do a comprehensive assessment to ensure that hydrotherapy is the best and safest option for you. This means that our team can provide a tailored and individualised approach to your hydrotherapy exercises. Following this, our physiotherapists at ME Physio get into the pool with you to ensure you are provided with extensive support and able to exercise safely.

Get started with hydrotherapy to get stronger and healthier, call our team or book your assessment online today.

Happiness is a healthier, stronger ME.
