B. Podiatry (Hons) MSM
Sally has been practising as a Podiatrist since 1998. Sally undertook her Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours at La Trobe University and in 2010 completed a Master of Sports Medicine (by Research) at the University of Melbourne. Her research focused on Achilles tendinopathy and the mechanical behaviour of the Achilles tendon in running athletes. Her main findings were published in The American Journal of Sports Medicine. As a result Sally has developed a special interest in the treatment and management of Achilles tendon injuries. Her other interests include lower limb biomechanics, footwear technology, Australian Rules Football, track and field athletics, recreational running and the treatment of children.
Sally is currently head of the Podiatry department at the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre and has been working with the Richmond Football Club since 2001. Outside of Podiatry she enjoys spending time with her young family and in November 2014 ran her first marathon in New York.
