Sally has been practicing as a Podiatrist since 1998. Sally undertook a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours at La Trobe University and in 2011 completed a Master of Sports Medicine (by Research) at the University of Melbourne. Sally has been consulting at the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre and has also been the team Podiatrist for the Richmond Football Club since 2001. She has previously been the team Podiatrist for the Victorian Bushrangers cricket team and has consulted for the PGA tour and the Australian Ballet School.
Sally’s Master’s research focused on Achilles tendinopathy and the mechanical behavior of the Achilles tendon in running athletes. Her main findings were published in The American Journal of Sports Medicine. As a result of her research Sally has developed a special interest in the treatment and management of Achilles tendon injuries. Her other interests include lower limb biomechanics, footwear technology, Australian Rules Football, recreational running and the treatment of children. Sally’s own sporting back ground is in track and field athletics and as a teenager she represented Victoria in the 100 and 200 metres. In more recent years she completed her first marathon in New York.
Sally enjoys seeing patients of all sporting backgrounds and abilities and is focused on helping people return to their sport or activity as quickly as possible.
